Katelyn enjoys working with those going through “transitions”, be it career, family, relationships, or substance abuse. She addresses these transitions by using theory and techniques grounded in Brief Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive therapies with the individuals, groups, or families issues while tailoring treatment to individual needs. Katelyn focuses on the power of rapport and identifying safe spaces for healing, growth, and empowerment in multiple facets of life. She is also trained in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) along with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and often uses with Responders after incidents.
Life can feel messy and it is at times a place of stagnation, chaos, or just confusion. Katelyn challenges individuals to identify themselves, their passions, and to grow beyond the mask that life sometimes pushes people to wear as a means of protection or fear. It is in true authenticity that we find freedom and joy to move from isolation or bondage and into freedom and fullness. It is in freedom where we no longer have to choose living in fear, rejection, pain, and/or competition but chose to live with depth, substance, love, and understanding.
